With Norfolk, Essex and Suffolk Teacher Training (NESTT)
We value every trainee as an individual and we firmly believe in the importance of an inclusive learning and teaching environment where everyone can contribute and succeed. If you have a disability, we will welcome your application and our experienced team will be there to give you all the help and advice you need. Trainees have already successfully completed our training programme with conditions such as visual and hearing impairments, dyslexia, dyspraxia and autistic spectrum conditions.

Once you have been invited to interview, please contact us to discuss your individual needs to identify any reasonable adjustments we can make to support your training.
All successful applicants complete a ‘Fit to Teach’ screening process managed by our occupational health provider. This will make us aware of any specific adaptations that you may require in order to be successful in your training year. Such adjustments could include:
- Adapting interview arrangements
- Extending deadlines
- Recording workshops
- Sending PowerPoint slides in advance
- Photocopying on coloured paper
- Securing wheelchair access
We have a highly developed programme of pastoral support for trainees. With your permission, we will also share information with your placement school to ensure that you have the support you need and that reasonable adjustments are made available for your training.
With your permission, we will also work with your school-based mentor to ensure you have all the support and reasonable adjustments you need to make the most of your school placement and training.
